The next release (0.58) is mostly a robustness/stability release. The comment coloring has been refactored making the execute method look a bit cleaner, but the big changes are in the handling of the regex. It is currently very easy to kill your FireFox session or cause it to go CPU bound by adding keywords that have some of the regex literals in them. There is also a bug where if a keyword is repeated in a chat post and highlighting by word and/or underlining is on, the chat comment will get a bunch of html "droppings" when the repeating keyword is processes for highlighting. Not pretty at all.
I don't expect to get all the possible issues nailed in the next release, but it will be better with respect to the items mentioned above and some other like tweaks. Please keep the feedback coming in. If something isn't working right or you can make the extension go crazy, please let me know so that I can make it better for you.
Happy Smacking
BTW, thank you Ether and GetStuff for the extensive testing and feedback so far.
