Mindstorm's Storm Front

Installing the extension is fairly easy, but if you are new to FireFox and extensions, it can cause a bit of head scratching. This document should help you get Smackin in style.

You should be able to install SwakSmack by directly clicking on the "Install Extension" link near the top of the http://mindstorm360.com/swaksmack page, however if you have never installed the SwakSmack extension before, FireFox will block the installation as part of its security measures.

How do you know if FireFox is blocking the installation? Below is a screenshot when the installation is blocked. Note the pale yellow bar near the top of the page in the screenshot.

If you encounter the pale yellow bar, you need to allow the web site to install extensions. This is fairly easy to accomplish. In the pale yellow bar click the button labeled "Edit Options..." and you will be presented with a popup like the one below.

Once you have allowed the site, the Allowed Sites should have mindstorm360.com and/or mindstorm360.nehrings.com listed in it as below

Once you have allowed the site, click on "Install Extension..." again and you should be presented with the installation popup where you will click on "Install". This will install the extension and upon restarted FireFox, SwakSmack will be available for use.
